National Library Week is over. #sad But we can always still celebrate libraries. And since last week was so busy and you may have missed some awesome things. I know that I certainly did. Here are some awesome things that I found and want to promote.
This one is literally the hashtag Common Sense. And yet people still say we don't need libraries! (I had to attack a jerk who was polluting the National Library Week hashtag with "libraries are obsolete and worthless now; we should just have kindles, sorry [not]).
Yeah, sure let's get everyone kindles, Mr. "Obsolete Library Man" because people still won't have the money to have the internet in their houses.
This one was just cool. #LibrariesAreTheMostDangerousPlacesOnEarth
#truth I have many.
I LOVE Beverly Cleary's books and am the only person I know who has read her YA stuff. (though I am sure some of my librarians have because #naturally)
Also this is one of the main reasons I write books. #PickyReader
YAS! I firmly believe the "libraries" that are in big houses are just book-rooms. No librarian= no library. Without library staff, like what's the point? People do not just go to the library for books. (although books are cool and should not be sneezed at, figuratively or literally.)
Annnnnd... I just put this video here because it's AWESOME. And it's based off Hamilton, which means 98.7265%* of library people will love it.
*this is a random number and has nothing to do with that fact that certain crazy library teen staff know all the lyrics to said musical
Anyways, I hope y'all had a lovely National Library Week. And if there was something cool that I missed, please leave it in the comments!
Live Long & Library!
Is the crazy Wranting Writer and Lordess Lady of the blog b/c she says so.
