"I'm someone's sunshine, their only sunshine" -- Actually I should hope I'm not their only sunshine because you need more than just me, but anyways. ? I am SO EXCITED TO WIN THIS AGAIN! I mean I've only been blogging for a year now (partly on Tumblr, before I switched over here, and I didn't even blog on Tumblr that often) but apparently I am good at it because I've won twice? ? These things are super fun and I love doing them so thank you Kim M Watt for nominating me and just generally for being an awesome library warrior. (if you don't know what a library warrior is click here)
So all there is left to do is answer the 11 questions, nominate my own winners, and give them 11 questions. Let's go!
1. what book made me want to start writing
uhhhhh. I have no idea. I started writing when I was ~11? And I began telling stories with my brother pretty much as soon as I could talk. It's probably those stories that made me want to write more than any book, but all the books that I have read have influenced my writing.
2. If you could co-write with any author, who would it be? (Or would you want to? Why/why not?)
Man! I would co-write with Tui. T. Sutherland because I think she's the queen of awesome. Plus she writes in my main genres: Middle Grade and YA. AND SHE DOES AMAZING THINGS WITH DRAGONS SO. #YAS
3,What’s your writing super-fuel?
Yay! This one's pretty easy: music. As what type of music think like Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Lindsey Stirling and then smash it all up with various movie scores, just because.
Also a REALLY GOOD BOOK can be a fuel for my writing fire, but I am VERY picky with books so this doesn't happen as often as I'd like.
4. What’s your spirit animal?
El tigre is my spirit animal. And yes, I know I am a skinny, non-muscular person, but my spirit is not so don't laugh or I'll maul you.
5. If you could be a character in your favourite book, who would it be and why?
uhhhhhh huhhhhh huhhh. WHY?????? This is an evilly hard question to answer. I would pick Peril from Tui. T. Sutherland's Wings of Fire series, but she can't hug ppl w/o burning them so I guess I can't be her, because not being able to hug my favorite person would be the worst. *sighs* So I don't know. Maybe Arya from Eragon, because she has magic and rides a dragon, but I don't really like that series anymore. I DON'T HAVE A FAVORITE BOOK OR CHARACTER. THERE ARE TOO MANY!!! NOOOOOOOO. Just let me be an awesome shapeshifter who can change into a tiger and hug ppl.
6. What’s the last book you read that really stayed with you?
Hm. Lately most of them have stayed with me. I'd have to say First and Then by Emma Mills, because it made me realize I could write YA Contemporary too. (which is what I am doing now) I am surprised at how little "conflict" you need in contemporary. I'm a blood and guts author so I just assumed everything needed death, but not all books do and I'm having a blast writing this story because it's practically my life and has lots of librarians so #yay.
7.What’s your writing uniform?
Whatever the heck I'm wearing at the time.
8. What was your funniest moment in life?
I have no clue. I am a very silly person so I do funny things all the time, but I'm not a bold person I never have done anything that sticks out like prank calling strangers and pretending to be their girlfriend and dumping them. (kudos or not kudos to my sister for doing that)
9. If you could plant magic seeds, what would grow?
Money. Because college isn't cheap and giving libraries donations is nice.
10. What does your monster under the bed look like?
I wasn't aware I had one. I do, however, occasionally have my Snoodle under the bed (you are really too big to fit, Gustav) and sometimes the chihuahua decides to take up residence under there (which is worrisome because I'm always concerned she'll drool her awful sewer breath all over my sneakers. I still blame you for that mysterious shoe accident, Sita!)
11. What’s your most irrational fear? (Is it that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you?)
Well, now that you mention that ducks, I am unnerved. But no, it's probably that every single library worker I meet thinks I'm a bothersome jerk-face. I honestly think that I just am a big bother to them even though I've never met a library person who hates me (as far as I know). But social anxiety would have me believe otherwise. *sigh* I wish I were afraid of ducks instead.
On that sunny note, let's move along to the winners! So you're "supposed" to choose 11, but I didn't last time, and I do not know that many ppl so I have just chosen a couple of people who I think are cool and brighten the universe like... A SUN. ?
Our victors are:
-The lovely and epic library warrior Rebecca (aka Hafuboti) from Hafuboti.com
-My hilarious friendSarrah (aka Sarrah w/the 2 R's). Your website says it's under construction, but I figure you could answer the q's on one of your awesome vlogs.
-J. Gilbert because you are always uplifting.
- Margaret Mcgiff because she is and always has been cool.
- Sarah Amazing because her last name and because she's my teen librarian. (I don't think you'll do this but you deserve to be nominated anyways because you are very sunny.)
Btw, none of you have to do this if you don't want. The only requirements are 1. Steal the Sunshine Award picture off my blog and put it on your post. 2. Answer my Q's. And 3. Nominate someone. (unless you are Sarrah doing your vlog. You could be weird and do your own thing if you want to. I will not judge.)
1. what is your least FAVORITE color?
Is the crazy Wranting Writer and Lordess Lady of the blog b/c she says so.
